You are on fire with the posts. I can't keep up. As of now, Fred is my man. I just read an article that says Newt is toying with the idea. Any hope they could team up? Would they be electable?
I don't know. Newt is super smart, a historian, great ideas...electable? I don't know. I love that he's throwing in solutions. But, when I say his name out loud to the people around me the reaction is almost always negative. I would love to see him in a cabinet position. I bet he would be a wise adviser if not bogged down with statesmanship duties.
I don't see Newt as a viable candidate because of the visceral reactions people have to him (in both parties). If you could tap his head for ideas, that would be great. I don't see him as a VP candidate either because it's the one-step-away position and would conjure up the same opposition as a Presidential candidacy would.
I liked what Fred had to say in that video. He clearly knows what he's doing in front of the camera. I haven't picked a horse in this race yet though.
"I am God, and there is none like me. I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please."Isaiah 46.9-10
That's me on the right.
