flesh is for sacrifice

One day I was singing along with the band and everybody at Wesleyan Fellowship during worship time. I don't remember what we were singing and I don't remember what I was thinking. I just remember this thought dropping down in my mind. And when I noticed it I wondered where it came from and what it meant. It is this:

Flesh is for sacrifice.

Just that. Since then I've been wondering what it means or if it means anything. Like, is all flesh for sacrifice? Is that what it's all for? Well, I thought about the animals in the Old Testament and I thought about Jesus himself. He was God in a human body, in flesh. And His flesh was for sacrifice. And what about mine? Is the great thing about having flesh that we get to sacrifice it? Is there any other purpose for flesh?

Flesh is for sacrifice.

hmmmm...

So all I had to do is ask and you give me food for thought for a month? Whatever the opposite of a roundhouse kick to the face is, I do that to you.
