I got a boo-boo

It doesn't look all that bad, does it? We were snorkeling around and seeing all kinds of life around the little reef known as Hens and Chickens. I saw Parrot Fish taking tiny bites of the corral, a really long snake looking fish, lots of little bumble bee Sergeant Majors and indescribable others. Mike threw some Cheez-Its in and I got to be in the middle of a frenzy of fish folk. The corral is so shallow right there that I could dive down and see up close. It seemed like everybody was ready to move on. The sea was tossing about 4 feet, the boat straining against its mooring. Maybe it's time to get out. Maybe I should relieve myself first, being the only girl along and all. Maybe fish respond to this activity, maybe I should be nearer the ladder. Concentration and success. Barracuda. Big one. A few feet away, closer than usual. What does he think about this? Scurry to ladder, throw fins over side of undulating boat. WHAM! Boat propeller into left hip. Do barracudas respond to blood in the water? Scurry up ladder, wrap boo-boo in Mike's sea soaked shirt. Wonder if I need stiches.I think, "When you see that white stuff you're supposed to get stitches." I say, "Where are we going next?" I was very brave. Or stupid. Sometimes they feel the same.
